The AAT is the UK’s leading qualification and membership body for accounting
and finance staff, internationally recognised with a current membership of over
120,000 worldwide. As the second level of AAT Accounting qualification, this
course will introduce you to more complex financial accounting
tasks.
This course introduces you to more complex financial accounting tasks such as
incomplete records, accounting for different types of organisation, the
preparation final accounts and accounting for indirect taxation. It also
introduces the basic building blocks of Management Accounting, Marginal Costing
and Absorption Costing.
In addition to these accounting units you will also study spreadsheets,
ethics and Indirect Tax within the accounting profession which will combine with
all units studied and be assessed via a synoptic exam.
Students who have studied for the two-year programme have the opportunity to
gain 56 UCAS points for the Level 3 AAT Diploma (Distinction grade) plus an
additional 56 UCAS points if they achieve a Distinction* in the BTEC L3
Subsidiary Diploma.
