The Level 3 Certificate in Childcare and Education is studied in year 1 with progression on to the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) in year 2. The Diploma will enable you to gain the knowledge and experience that will allow you to work with children from birth to 5 years. 

You will study a variety of units including child development from conception to seven years, children’s health and well-being, understanding children’s additional needs, supporting emergent literacy and mathematics, reflective practice for professional development amongst others. 

You will have access to real work environments attending placement for two days per week, as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
