Are you thinking of a career in business, science or engineering or perhaps becoming a professional mathematician? If so, studying A level Mathematics is going to be essential in developing your knowledge to support your skill base and help you succeed.

Often thought of as a supporting subject, the content of A level maths builds a strong foundation of techniques which you can apply in other subject areas. Your algebraic skills will need to be good and you will be expected to spend a substantial amount of time outside the classroom with independent study. You will spend two-thirds of your time studying core mathematics and one-third studying an applied module which will complement your other A level subjects and your career choice.
