Sutton Coldfield College Cricket Academy

Cricket is a growing sport within the College Academy Programme. It is proving to be popular in terms of Indoor Cricket (winter) and then 20/20 competitive cricket in the Summer period.

Players currently play club cricket across a number of clubs in the Birmingham area with several players selected for County Cricket activities.

All student athletes on the Cricket Academy will enrol on a Programme of Study which is aligned to their Qualifications on Entry. Student Athletes will have allocated hours of Cricket Specific Training and Match play combined with Tutorial, Purposeful Work Experience, Maths* or English* (Subject to QoE) alongside their selected Academic Pathway.

Academic Pathway Options:

  • A levels in; Drama, Philosophy, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Media, Psychology, Mathematics, Physics, History, Sociology, Business, Law and Religious Studies
  • Vocational courses in Accounting, Acting, Applied Science, Business, Dance, IT, Musical Theatre, Sport, Fitness, Travel, Uniformed Services, Health and Social Care.
