BMet men’s football team bask in glory

Goals were scored by Joe Wells, Myles Phipps, Owen Parry and the Man of the Match, Tom Riley, who scored two goals against the Cheshire side. Tom’s achievement was a particularly strong one, considering he had just returned from injury. The match was held at Birmingham City Football Club.

“The final whistle was insane,” said Tom, “everyone was really happy we won and the atmosphere in the changing room was unreal.”

Team captain, Alister Brauns, added: “To win the AoC national championships is a massive achievement, one we worked really hard for. The highlights were leading the team out at St Andrews and witnessing the goal by Owen Parry.

“We’re already looking ahead to next year where we aim to defend our title and achieve other success.”
