Career ahead at BMet Open Events

Have a career dream you’ve not yet realised?  Career moving in the right direction but want to upgrade your skills?  Then step inside the BMet College group, Careers Open Events.

On Wednesday 03 April a trio of the BMet colleges will be throwing their doors open between 4-7pm at the Careers Open Events.

A host of guest speakers from high profile companies will give a series of talks across a number of career areas. Each college will also put on a series of fun and interactive activities all centred around different careers.

The evening is set to be jam packed with activity to inspire and excite career choices.

The likes of BMW and Baxi will be at James Watt College, there will be an opportunity to hear a talk about a career in podiatry at Matthew Boulton College and the opportunity to tour the music studios. And much more!

At Stourbridge College there will be a talk from an illustrator and a number of talks on gaming and software technology.

Staff from Birmingham City University and Wolverhampton University will be on hand at James Watt College to discuss how to study for a university level qualification at BMet.

In addition there will be tours of the colleges, opportunities to meet student ambassadors and the chance to apply for and be interviewed for a college place on the night.

Cliff Hall, Principal and CEO at BMet, said: “Our Careers Open Events are a perfect combination of aspirational career talks blended with a traditional open day format giving people a chance to speak to staff and students and to see and experience our amazing facilities first hand.

“I thoroughly recommend a visit to see what we have on offer.  It may confirm that you are headed in the right direction in terms of your career or might set you on a whole new path. At BMet our courses lead to careers.

“For those in year 11 who are unsure or undecided on what’s next, it’s a perfect opportunity to find out more and actually walk away with a college offer for September.”
