Safeguard Clothing support public services students at BMet

Students from BMet’s Public Services courses will develop a better understanding of the industry’s front line roles after receiving a donation in the form of a bulletproof vest from SafeGuard Clothing – an international manufacturer and distributor of body armour.

SafeGuard Clothing donated one of its premium bullet resistant vests to Stourbridge College and to Sutton Coldfield College.

SafeGuard Armour and Clothing is a worldwide manufacturer and distributer of body armour and is involved in research and development for new materials to enhance the wearability of protective body armour for front line services. First-hand experience of using such police, military and security personnel level professional equipment will give students a unique opportunity to get used to the sort of protective clothing they will use when they embark upon their chosen careers.

Donations like this from SafeGuard enable colleges like BMet to enrich their teaching with the best practical experience possible to help students pursue their career of choice. By having the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of using the latest equipment in the industry it will improve the students’ employability within a competitive market once they complete their course at college.

This is yet another donation made by SafeGuard under their campaign to support European colleges in enhancing the quality of their teaching curriculums. The wide variety of bullet and stab proof vests for both covert and overt usage has positioned the brand as one of the most trusted providers of protective clothing that is rapidly expanding across the international market.

Thomas Bowman, speaking on behalf of SafeGuard Armour and Clothing, said: “We believe that all students should have access to premium bullet and stab proof vests whilst studying Public Services. We are pleased to donate such items to colleges in order to help students prepare adequately for the line of work they have chosen.”
