Top Students Recognised at College awards ceremony

Matthew Boulton College showcased its best and brightest at their end of year student awards celebration last night (Tuesday 25th June).

The awards recognised and honoured the achievements and high level of work of Matthew Boulton College students with categories over six disciplines.   The night’s final award was the Assistant Principal Exceptional Achievement Award.

The winners on the night were:

The winner of the award in the Science category was Farzeen Kader. His tutor, Wajid Hussain, praised his growth as a student and his inquisitive nature.

The winner of the Ready Respectful Safe award was Mohammed Adeel Siddique. He was described as a “role model for RRS values every day in college.”

The winner of the award in the Commercial Services category was Hosai Sadyar.  As a single mother Hosai has overcome many obstacles and in recognition of all she has achieved was given this award.

The winner of the award in the category of Early Years and Health was Mohammed Mahruf Ahmed. His commitment to excellence during his time at Matthew Boulton College has been exemplary.

The winner of the English, Maths, ESOL, and Foundation Learning Award was Musharraf Abdullayeva. Her hard work and dedication in her studies paid dividends as evidenced by splendid results.

The winner of the Creative, Digital, Business, and Professional Award was Jack Slater. Jack’s perseverance with his work led him to secure a Distinction grade across both years and as a result was the clear winner in this category.

The winner of the Assistant Principal Exceptional Achievement Award was Maryam Hassanzadeh. Maryam attained the highest score for Applied Science in the entire BMet college group and was deemed a more than worthy winner for this award.

Jan Myatt, Assistant Principal at Matthew Boulton College, had this to say in regards to the celebration of excellence that took place:  “I am absolutely floored by what our students were able to achieve this year.

“All the nominees and award winners should be exceptionally proud of themselves and the work that they put in to reach this point.

“We here at Matthew Boulton want to say a huge congratulations to everyone that was nominated and those that won awards, and we wish you the utmost success in your future endeavours.”
