Upay
Free meals just got smarter!
Have instant payments using your smartphone or customer card. You can check your free meals balance, see your expenditure, get access to exclusive deals and pay with your mobile.
How it works…
You must be an enrolled BMet student using Apple and Android devices configured for the UK Play Store. Free meals are cancelled if you withdraw after enrolment. There are two types of meal allowances dependent on your circumstances;
- Free meals* up to £4.82 per day
- Bursary meal* up to £2.41 per day
Upay is available once you’ve completed enrolment and applied for bursary and meal support*
National Express mTicket
BMet has joined forces with National Express to offer student travel passes* direct to your mobile phone. You’ll get immediate access to your pass, you won’t need to queue to collect your pass and what’s more the pass is safe and secure so you’ve no need to worry about misplacing it and needing a replacement.
There are two types of ticket dependent on your age:
- 16-18
- 18+ or not entitled to a 16-18 pass

Swift Travel Card
Is your journey a little more than a bus trip? If the mTicket will not cover your journey, or if you live outside of the West Midlands Travel area we have a range of public transport options via our Swift card.
Swift is the easy and flexible way to travel around the west midlands. It can also work for those unable to download the mTicket without a smart phone.

MyCirqa
This is a great tool to help you be organised for your learning. You can download the MYCIRQA app to your phone, which will;
- check the status of your items on loans
- overdue, reservations and fines
- check if any reserved items are ready to collect
- access messages from the library about new materials and offers
