BMet supports life insurance broker’s recruitment drive
BMet has teamed up with training provider, Succeed, JobCentre Plus Handsworth and Prospects Birmingham to give a helping hand to a local insurance broker carrying out a major recruitment drive. LifeSecure Financial Services is hiring 150 sales agents throughout the rest of 2017.
BMet is delivering a one-week pre-employment course to interested job applicants, while Succeed will oversee the recruitment and assessment of candidates as well as provide some telephone training.
Since forming in 2011, LifeSecure Financial Services has doubled in size year on year. In December 2016, they moved to new premises in the Aston Cross Business Village. The company works alongside major insurers including Legal & General, Aviva, AIG and Zurich to bring a range of insurance products to the market.
Company Director, Anjam Sarwar said: “Recruiting so many people is a big step for us, along with moving to new premises, but we’re confident we have a lot to offer the industry.
“Many people are now reviewing their insurance policies to make sure they are getting all the protection they need and not just what they have been obliged to take out through mortgages etc. We’re keen for new staff to help us provide the right policies for our customers while enjoying thriving career opportunities with us.”
A sector based work academy programme has been developed by BMet, Succeed and JobCentre Plus and includes candidate interviews and assessments.
