BMet has invested an incredible amount of money in redeveloping and refurbishing sites in Birmingham, improving facilities and providing state-of-the-art work spaces and classrooms for students and staff.

James Watt £4.5 million Investment

James Watt College has recently had a £4.5 million major refurbishment so that it can offer an even better learning environment in which you can develop your skills. The college features a brand new fully-equipped learning resources centre, a professional quality TV studio, gym, media suite, construction workshops and our Sustainable Technologies Centre.

Erdington Skills Centre £4 million Investment

The Skills Centre has had major refurbishment, with an investment of almost £4 million, of which £1.33 million was grant funded by the Skills Funding Agency.  The Centre now offers an enhanced range of courses in construction, ESOL and foundation learning and provides purpose built facilities including classrooms and workshops, which have been specifically designed to house training rooms for painting and decorating, plastering, carpentry and joinery and electrical as well as general training rooms with increased access to technology. We’re working with local community groups such as Connexions and Jobcentre Plus to help unemployed people back into work.
